Benefits of Limiting Access to POS Settings
While the Erply built in Cashier user group comes pre-configured to now allow sales people to access more configurations in the POS, it is also possible to create your own user group and configure it so that employees belonging to that user group do not have access to advanced POS configuration.
Advanced POS settings includes configuring tax information, company information and visual aspects of the POS.
Limiting Access to POS Settings
Limiting access to advanced POS settings is done through limiting access to employee configuration settings. The reason for that is because employee configuration itself is also available in the POS and it should not be available to cashiers who could not change the advanced aspects of the POS.
To limit this access, simply login to the back office and navigate to Settings -> User groups. Open the user group that you wish to limit POS advanced settings for.
Scroll down to Employee and make sure the Edit option is set to null.
Once the gear icon is clicked after this configuration is applied, the new settings are shown limited and the user will only be able to access basic settings to troubleshoot the POS in case of issues.
