Gift Card Types to Payment Types

This plugin is used to link giftcard types to payment types. When a giftcard type is used for payment, the type of the payment will be changed from GIFTCARD to the configured mapping payment type

Create Gift Card Types

In the back office, navigate to Retail -> Gift Card Types -> New.
Type in the desired Gift Card Type name (we will use “Test Gift Card Type” as example) and click Save.

Configuring the POS Plugin

In the POS, go to POS Settings -> Plugins
Search for the “Gift Card Types to Payment Types” in the Plugins search bar, tick the check box and click Configure Plugin.

You will see the previously create gift card type in the list:

Choose the payment type, select for example ‘cash’.

Click Save.

Now you can do the following:

1. Everytime the Gift card type “Test Gift Card Type”(example) is used, it will be tendered as a cash(example) payment.
2. Once you click GENERATE it will create a payment type named “Test Gift Card Type”(example)
