EPSI 3.25.16 install and testing
A new version 3.25.16 of EPSI has now been released. The new version contains updates of ssl certificate and encryption of certificate passwords. This update is set to take place automatically on 1/19/21. This update does not touch any external device integrations.
*this update should take place automatically. If it does not get updated, it needs to be downloaded manually
Note: This update doesn’t contain any changes in the code, so the functionality of all EPSI
modules remain unchanged and will work as previously. The only changes made are related
to the signing of the modules by updated certificates.
Configuring environment for testing
Some changes to the update.json file are required to trigger the update process.
File can be located (replace user-name with your username):
● Windows: C:\Users\user-name\AppData\Roaming\ERPLY\Cache\update.json
● MAC: /Users/user-name/Library/Application Support/ERPLY/Cache/update.json
● Linux: /home/user-name/ERPLY/Cache/update.json
Once the file is located, change “live” to “demo”:

Now close EPSI, upon re-launch the download should be triggered automatically:
Start testing
Update process will start only on the EPSI restart. If you have EPSI running then close it and run
again. You should see updating progress window:

If you can’t see the message “Downloading new version” and there is a message "Starting application... " without downloading, then the installation is not complete and will need to be done manually.
Install new EPSI version manually
- This can be done downloading the new epsi version manually
- Copy and paste it into the cache services folder
- Update “update.json” with a new version in main module file
