This article covers the Printer setup for ERPLY POS - Currently supported printer vendors - Star, Epson, Citizen.
Steps
- Open POS Application from start page and open Settings by pressing on the cog in upper-right corner
- Press Printing Configuration
- Check “Try Printing by wrapper” and expand menu
- Press “Open Printing settings”
- Configure “Printer connection” to your desired connection type
- NB! If you are using Bluetooth as your means of connection, please connect the printer in the Settings app before trying to search it via POS
- Go to Settings app
- Select “Bluetooth” from the menu and make sure Bluetooth connection is enabled
- Select the desired printer in Bluetooth menu, if the Settings states “Connected” next to printer name it’s connected! You can proceed with pairing on POS app.
- Some payment integrations support terminal printing - if selected integration supports terminal printing there will be two extra fields - Printer choice(this sets if receipts get printed from External receipt printer/terminal printer), Print receipt type(Option what receipts exactly get printed) - configure these fields according to your needs.
- Configure “Paper size” to reflect your printer paper size.
- Configure “Gray depth” according to your needs - this parameter sets the grayscale of printed images if printer supports image printing
- Configure “Characters per line” according to your printer settings
- Most of times user won’t have to configure this - it will get automatically resolved by printer default settings.
- If receipt seems misaligned try different printouts with these parameter in order to get well aligned receipt.
- If everything is configured press “Search printers” buttons
- Printers will appear in “Selected printer” selection if any are found
- “Selected printer” label will reflect “-“ value if no printers were found
- Select desired printer
- Press “Test receipt” to see test receipt.
- If test receipt is misaligned refer to 9. step. If it looks good you are ready to use your printer with Erply POS!
