Problem: How to Set Up and Manage Store Regions in Erply

Solution 1: Installing and Accessing the Store Regions Module

  1. Install the Store Regions Module:
    • The Store Regions feature is available as an extra module. Ensure it is installed in your Erply system.

  2. Access the Regions Module:
    • Once installed, navigate to Retail Chain -> Regions to access the Store Regions module.

Solution 2: Creating and Managing Store Regions

  1. Create a New Region:
    • In the Store Regions module, you can create new regions.
    • Enter the Code and Name (in different languages if needed).

  2. Manage User Group Settings:
    • Adjust user group permissions for managing store regions in the Main Modules section.

  3. Assign Stores to a Region:
    • Go to Retail Chain -> Locations.
    • Open a location and use the Store Region field (a drop-down menu) to assign the location to a region.

Note: The existing field called "Region or State" has been renamed to State Group to prevent confusion.

  1. Filter Locations by Region:
    • You can filter locations by Store Region in the Retail Chain -> Locations list and in Edit Store Price List.

  2. View Store Region in Inventory:
    • The Store Region column has been added to the Inventory -> Locations module, making it easier to view the regions associated with each location.

  3. Deleting a Region:
    • Important: You cannot delete a region if it is associated with at least one warehouse.

Solution 3: Managing Region Price Lists

  1. Understand the Order of Price Lists:
    • The order in which price lists are considered:
      1. Region Price Lists
      2. Region and Customer Price Lists
      3. Warehouse Price Lists

  2. Assign Price Lists to a Region:
    • In the Regions module, select a price list from the drop-down and click Add. This price list will be added to the end of the list.

  3. Reorder Price Lists:
    • You can reorder the price lists using the arrow buttons to change the order in which they are applied.

  4. Associate Price Lists with Customer Groups and Regions:
    • To assign a price list to both a region and a customer group, choose the relevant options from the drop-downs and click Add.
    • The price list will apply only to customers in the selected group and region.

  5. Manage Price List Combinations:
    • You can view and reorder combinations of price lists and customer groups within a region. The items in the table are ordered by customer group.
    • Note: You cannot add the same combination of a price list and customer group to a region multiple times.
