Payment Express (Windcave) UK Payment Integration

In this guide you will learn how to configure a Payment Express UK Payment terminal to Erply POS. The guide includes two parts: the part that has to be completed by the Payment Express UK team and the second part that will be configured in Erply.

Install Payment Express Middleware

For the Payment Express UK Payment integration to work, a middleware needs to be installed on the Windows computer being used. The middleware will manage payment requests between the Erply POS and Payment Express UK end points.

To install the middleware, please reach out to Payment Express UK support using this link https://www.windcave.com/contact.

Configure Erply

To configure the integration in Erply, both the Back Office and the POS need to be configured.

In the back office, we will need to enable payment integration at the register level. To do so, please follow these steps:

FAQ

  1. When I click Save, the configuration at the POS is not saving.

Make sure you are signed into Erply POS using the HTTPS link. The best way to make sure this is the case, use the Erply POS for Windows blue icon on your desktop to open the POS.

  1. When I type in the IP address, the port number is also populated with the IP address.

Make sure you have selected “Payment Express” from the back office and also make sure you are again running on HTTPS.

  1. When I click “Connect”, I get the message “Connection refused”.

Make sure the IP address and the port number are correct with no leading or trailing spaces. Try typing these two pieces of information instead of copying and pasting them. This will help avoid invisible spaces.

  1. The address on the payment receipt is incorrect

The payment receipt that prints from the terminal is configured by Payment Express UK. Please reach out to their support for assistance.
