The offline product database is listed in the "Integrations" section, similarly to other local services. Click on a register in the list to install, update, start or stop the offline product database.
For full functionality, offline-product-database must be updated to version 2.14.3.
Offline product databases exposes a few additional data points:
- Number of products currently stored in the database
- Last synchronization time
- Seconds since last sync
- Number of products updated on last sync
- Number of price list prices updated on last sync
Two special commands are available:
- Full resync - initiates a new complete product synchronization.
This command creates a new temporary database file and fills it with product information, and only switches the databases when the sync is complete. Even though downloading a million products could take an hour to run, the "downtime" (unavailability of the local product catalog) is short, typically a few seconds.
- Product search: it is possible to make live queries to the local database to verify which products have been synced and what are the current prices of those items.
