Overview

Customer Display mirrors transactions from the POS, allowing customers to view shopping cart details, transaction summaries, and confirm certain details during their purchase. 

Key Features

  1. Display Data
    • Cart Information:
      • Products in cart with description, quantity, price, and total cost.
      • Applied discounts per product and for the whole cart.
      • Total cost (with and without tax), total discounts, and total taxes.
    • Customer Information:
      • First name, last name, company name, address, loyalty card number.
      • Available store credit.
  2. Customer Confirmation
    • Customers confirm the payment method on the display.
    • For EFT, customers enter the driver’s license number and digital signature before payment.
  3. Second-Screen Display
    • Stores can open a separate instance of the customer display on a second screen for the customer to review and confirm their transaction.
  4. Thank You Screen
    • Once payment is completed, the display shows a "Thank you for your purchase" message.

Scenarios

  1. Customer Information Display
    • Customers can see the following details:
      • Customer's First Name
      • Customer's Last Name
      • Company Name
      • Company Address
      • Company Number (Customer Loyalty Card Code)
      • Available Store Credit
  2. Product Count and Payment Summary
    • Customers can view the count of tobacco items separately from grocery items in their cart, along with detailed payment information.
      • Number of tobacco products (indicated by a product level tag)
      • Number of grocery products (all products excluding tobacco)
      • Total amount
      • Discount applied
      • Sales tax
      • Payment type (Cash, EFT, Check, Money Order, Credit Card)
      • Change amount for cash transactions
  3. Tender Type Confirmation
    • Customers confirm their tender types before the payment is processed.
      • The cashier adds the payment methods in the payment modal and clicks "Pay."
      • The customer display shows all tender types.
      • The customer must click "OK" to confirm the tender types before the payment is processed.
    • For EFT tender type, customers verify their EFT payment by entering required personal details.
      • Customers must enter their Driver's License number.
      • Customer provides a digital signature.
  4. Multi-Tender Payment Display
    • As the cashier adds each tender type, the customer displays updates to show the amount covered and any remaining unpaid balance.
      • Amount covered by each tender (e.g., Cash, Card).
      • Remaining unpaid balance if the first tender doesn’t cover the full amount.
  5. Complete Transaction Display
    • Customer sees a detailed list of items added to the card, including discounts.  
      • Full list of products added to the cart (Description, Code, Quantity, Price, Total price per row).
      • Discounts applied at both product and cart levels.
      • Total net cost (excluding tax), total tax, and final total cost.
    • After confirming the payment, the system shows a thank you screen.
