Search Product by All Codes
While this setting is enabled, Search product code from the middle will be disabled automatically. The POS does not find the results until you enter the correct product code.
As soon as the correct code is entered the POS will show only this product with this exact product code in the products dropdown list.
Also if the product has several product codes configured while this setting is enabled, you can also search by the second, third, etc. code.
Note: Only the first code is visible in the product detailed view in the POS, other ones are hidden from the user and can be checked only in the back office This does not hinder the search function.
Search Product Code From the Middle
While Search product code from the middle is selected, the POS shows products incrementally according to the entering values to the product searching field.
When the whole code is entered there will be a list of products shown in the products dropdown list with different codes that have at least one equal numeric value of entered code.

Add Product To Shopping Cart When Search Finds Single Result
By default if you search a product via the product searching field, the product will be added to the shopping cart by clicking on the product in the dropdown list or just pushing the enter button on the keyboard. If the Add product to shopping cart when search finds a single result setting is enabled, the POS will make this automatically. You do not need any additional movements or clicks.
This option can be enabled in POS settings -> Configuration -> Product search section.
Sort products in the search list
Also here it is possible to sort products in the product search dropdown as you wish:
- By name (in ascending order)
- By code (in ascending order)
- By product ID (in ascending order)
- By price (in ascending order)
- By changed (the last changed product is on the top of the list)
- By added (the last added product is on the top of the list)
Note: the dropdown list can show max 40 products.
To enable the setting just select the needed option in the POS settings -> Configuration -> Product search section and save the changes. Afterwards products in the product search dropdown will be sorted in ascending order and regarding the selected option.
Truncate product names in a searching field dropdown
If a product has a long name and it takes a lot of space in a dropdown it is possible to shorten it by “Truncate product names from search results” setting.
Navigate to the POS Settings -> Configuration -> Product Search.
Tick the setting checkbox to enable it.
Then all the product names that have long names will be shortened:
