Updates! While you most often like them for the new features and stability they bring to your applications, sometimes you may prefer to test them ahead of time before being able to deploy them to production. Now, Brazil POS allows you to do exactly that.

What Does POS Version Control Do?

POS Version Control feature allows users to stay in one version of the POS even when updates are released. Once enabled, you can manually choose which version of the POS to use and updates will not be pushed to your production environment until you manually choose to run on a different version or on the latest version.

How To Enable POS Version Control?

To enable version control, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and click on Configuration.
Step 2: Check the Enable POS Version Control checkbox under General. Click Save.
Step 3: Notice the new icon on your POS upper menu bar, where you can configure, which version to use:

How To Use POS Version Control?

Now version control is enabled and the version control settings access is visible on the POS menu bar, you can click on that icon and switch to whichever version you like to stay on.

Following updates will not affect you and you can use your test account to test future releases. Once you are satisfied with the new updates, you can use the same steps to switch to the latest or oldest preferred version.
Note: The setting is global and will affect all POS registers and all locations under that client code.

To go back to the latest POS version and to enable auto-updates, simply follow the same steps outlined above and uncheck the Enable POS Version Control checkbox.
