The Erply users who use Brazil POS can sell products, which must be accompanied by serial numbers. The serial number can be entered manually when the product which requires a serial number was added to the shopping cart.
Note: This configuration relates only to products, that require serial number. This kind of product can be created in the Back Office and the “This product requires a serial number prompts” checkbox should be selected.
Serial number pattern
At the moment the Brazil POS allows users to configure serial number pattern:
- The title of the serial number
- The serial number length
- The type of serial number length (it relates to the serial number length field)
You can enable this setting by navigating to POS Settings -> Configuration -> General -> Serial number.
There you choose a title for the serial number, the amount of characters and the comparison.
In the following example the fields are:
Serial number title: SN:
Serial number length: 5
Comparison: Exact length
If it is needed to add additional symbols to the beginning and end of serial number template it can be configured at the POS settings - Configuration - Receipt section - “Enter symbol that will wrap serial number” setting.
To enable it just enter needed symbols to the empty field: first part of values will be displayed in the beginning of serial number, put the “comma” ( , ) as separator, then enter the second part of values that will be displayed in the end of serial number.
If there is no need to have additional symbols in the serial number template leave the setting field empty!
Serial number on a receipt
Once the sale was finalized a user is able to print a receipt for customer. The information, that was entered into a serial number field in appeared popup during the sale, will be displayed on a receipt
