Cash In and Cash Out help maintain accurate cash flow records, reduce discrepancies, and ensure proper financial tracking at the POS.
Cash In
- Used to record additional cash placed into the register, such as:
- Adding the opening cash float.
- Depositing extra cash for making change.
- Registering received petty cash.
Cash Out
- Used to track cash removed from the register, such as:
- Paying for store expenses (e.g., supplies, refunds, or payouts).
- Depositing excess cash to prevent overloading the register.
- Cash withdrawals for business purposes.
Steps to Cash In:
- Click the Cash In/Out button located at the top of the Flax POS.
- Input the amount to be added to the cash drawer.
- Select the Cash In button.
- Verify the cash-in amount and choose a reason for the transaction.
