Sales Data Export

February 17, 2023

There are two ways to export sales data.

Reports Module

Sales reports allow you to pull detailed sales information, then filter that information to better understand different aspects of your business’ performance.
We also recommend checking out our guide on the Report Generator, if you want to create comparative reports that combine different datasets into one report.

The top section of the Sales report page allows you to filter your reports to pull specific sales data.
For example, you can choose a date range to pull sales data from, view sales data on by customer or location, or limit sales data to a certain product or product group.
Use this to narrow down your results.

Below, you can pull many detailed reports under the following report families:
- Sales summary
- Sales by customer
- Sales by location
- Item sales (product sales breakdowns)
- Cashier sales
- Detailed sales (invoices)
- AR reports

Click on a report’s name to open the report as a HTML table in a new window, or click “Excel” to download the report as a .xls.

Export to Accounting

This method is mainly used for moving sales data into Quickbooks and to generate accounting reports.

To begin, navigate to Sales -> Export to accounting.

From here, you’ll be able to generate different report formats. Use the Date field to pull sales from a specific date range.

Click Export the file to download the file as a .iif.
Click HTML to generate the report as an HTML table in a new window.

The Quickbooks setup section allows you to set up a Chart of Accounts and QB journal pages.
