Card on File with TSYS Genius Payment Integration (formerly Cayan Vault)

February 16, 2024

What is Genius Vault

Genius is a gateway offered by payment solution provider TSYS (previously Cayan, under Global Payments), which Erply integrates with.
Genius allows to save card information on file in a secured manner, in what is called Vault.
Cards saved in Genius Vault can be used for future transactions, allowing a customer to pay with a card on file without the card being present.

The Erply integration with Genius now supports requesting that a card be added to Vault when paying for a transaction at Erply POS, and later use a card on file in Vault to pay for a transaction in Erply POS. Card information is solely stored in Genius Vault and Genius handles payments with cards on file.

Prerequisites

Vault is available only for Genius payment integration with Erply, and operates with Brazil POS. The Cayan Microservice must be configured for payment integration. See also: Cayan Microservice Setup
Moreover the Vault feature requires the Genius payment terminal to run G2 build (firmware version 6 or higher). For more information, please contact your TSYS representative.

Enabling Vault

In Brazil POS, navigate to settings > payment configuration > setup payment gateways > select current integration: Cayan - Merchant warehouse > You will find a checkbox for cayan vault.
