Make sure the Customer Display app is configured in the Brazil POS. If not, please refer to this article to set it up.
Create a Tip product
Products can be created in the Back Office. The product for a tip collection should be:
- Not discountable
- Zero priced
- Not refundable
- Tax free
Once a tip product is created navigate to the Brazil POS.
Open POS Settings -> Plugins.
Find the Customer Display plugin.
Click ‘configure plugin’.
In the configuration view scroll down to “Tip product”.
Search for the previously created tip product and click ‘search’.
The product will appear below. If a product has all green check marks it means that this product can be selected for a tip collection:
If some of the requirements have a red cross and ‘Set’ button is not active it means that this product does not meet the requirements and it should be changed/enabled in the Back Office product card.
How to ask for a tip on the Customer Display?
From the Brazil POS menu bar click on the green screen icon.
Then click on the “Prompt for a tip on display”.
On the Customer Display screen, the store customer will see the question about tips “Would you like to give a tip?”
It is possible to select an exact amount of tip 5, 10, 15, 25 or enter another amount by clicking on the pen icon button.
Once the sum is selected on the Customer Display screen the customer should confirm it or cancel.
Once the tip amount is confirmed by the customer, the cashier should accept or decline it on the POS side.

How can I check which product(s) is selected for a tip?
In Brazil POS navigate to the POS Settings -> Plugins. Find the Customer Display plugin and click on the Configure Plugin button. Scroll down till the Tip Product section. The selected product for a tip collection is located under the Tip Product section name as:
‘(product name) is currently selected as a tip product’
