On the Erply side, you’ll only be able to see the last 4 digits of the customer’s card, ensuring sensitive payment information is not compromised.

How to set up the Genius Vault
Before you get started with the Genius Vaulton your Erply account, there are two requirements you must fulfill:
From Erply: device setup
If you do not already have a Genius payments device set up, contact our team to learn your options or get a device setup. You also can search for device setup manuals on manual.erply.com
From Global Payments: Vault functionality enabled
Contact Global Payments to have Genius Vault functionality added to your merchant account.
Erply Vault plugin enabled
After Global Payments has enabled Vault functionality, contact Erply support to have the Cayan vault plugin enabled on your Erply account.
Using the Genius Vault
Once the Genius Vault plugin has been enabled, you will notice that a Vault button now appears as a payment option on the POS.
Boarding customer cards
In order to remotely charge a customer’s card, it must first be boarded. To board a customer card, you must process a sale with the customer’s card present.
Select a customer at the POS and add items to the sale.
Pay by 100% card.
The Vault option will not be clickable because the card information has not stored yet.
After the payment has been made, open the customer card and select the credit card icon.
The last four digits of the credit card just used will appear in the customer profile. Next to it, you’ll see the card’s status listed as Unboarded.
Click Store to board the customer’s credit card, storing it’s info for future purchases.
Once stored, the vault option will be available during payment when the customer is selected and payments can be made on the stored (boarded) card without it being physically present.
Checking that a card is boarded for a specific customer:
You can check in two places to see whether or not a payment card has been successfully stored in Erply with Cayan vault.
Card storage at the POS
Select the customer in the POS, open the customer card and click on the credit card icon.
The stored card will show a status of Stored.
Card storage in the back office
Navigate to the Customers tab and click All customers. Click on the customer that you would like to check if there’s a card stored on file for.
Scroll down and click on the Attribute tab.
You will see a line for “cayan_payment_tokens” with a value that includes the last four digits of the card number in the name.
