How to sell a serialized gift card in Flax?
First, create a serialized gift card product in the Back Office. Click this link to follow the instructions.
Once the product is created, refresh the Flax POS. Begin scanning the serialized gift card product or search for it by typing the product name.
You will be prompted to enter a serial number, or you can have Flax generate one automatically by clicking the Generate Random Serial Number button and then clicking Save.
If the serialized gift card has a pre-filled amount, it will be automatically added to the card. If not, you will be asked to enter the amount and then click Save.
Click the Checkout button to proceed to the payment screen and complete the transaction.
How to redeem a gift card?
Add the customer by clicking the Customer Search button.
Scan the items the customer wants to purchase.
Click Checkout and choose Gift Card as the payment method.
Scan the serialized gift card to display the balance and status.
Click the Use button and then click Checkout to finalize the transaction.
How to check the gift card balance?
On the Flax main page, click Gift Card located on the right side.
Scan the serial number or code of the gift card to view its current balance and status.
