Tax Rate API Enhancement
Guide: Install & Upload Custom Tax Rates (Tax Rates API App)
Overview
This guide explains how to enable the Tax Rates API application in ERPLY Backoffice and upload a sample/template file to populate custom tax rates, then confirm the rates display correctly in the app table.
Prerequisites
● ERPLY Backoffice access
● User rights to install/open apps from App Store
● Access to the Tax Rates API sample file (provided by ERPLY/app)
Steps
1) Open the App Store
a. Log into ERPLY Backoffice.
b. Navigate to: Apps → App Store.
2) Locate and Open/Install the App
a. Search for Tax Rates API.
b. Select the Tax Rates API application.
c. Click Open (if already installed) or Install (if not installed).
3) Download the Sample File and Build Your Template
a. Inside the Tax Rates API app, locate the Sample file option (or sample/template download link).
b. Download the sample file.
c. Use it as a starting point to build your upload template (keep the same columns/format as the sample).
4) Upload the File
a. In the app, locate the Upload section.
b. Select your completed file (based on the sample).
c. Upload the file.
5) Confirm Custom Tax Rates Loaded Successfully
1. After upload completes, review the app’s results screen/table.
2. Confirm custom tax rates are:
○ Populated (records appear), and
○ Displayed correctly in the table (expected names/rates/identifiers.)
6) Common Issues & Tips (Optional Section)
● If upload fails, re-check that your file matches the sample format exactly (columns, headers, data types).
● Confirm your user has permission to access/install apps and to upload/import data within the app.
