The whole POS configuration can be downloaded as one JSON file and uploaded again to restore it. Both actions are under Configuration Backup in the left menu.

Download configuration
Download configuration saves all saved POS configuration as a single JSON file: general, role, register, location and quick key settings.
Not included in the file:
- POS devices and user consents.
- For security: the default Givex card number and PIN, the HQ account details, and the developer alert email recipients. Uploading a file keeps their current values.
Upload configuration
Uploading replaces the entire POS configuration with the contents of a downloaded configuration file. Settings that are not in the file are removed.
- Download the current configuration first, so it can be restored if needed.
- Click Choose file and select a .json file made with Download configuration.
- Tick I understand that this replaces the entire POS configuration.
- Click Upload configuration. The button stays disabled until a file is chosen and the box is ticked.
