Registers & POS Devices
Flax Enterprise Configuration App · Process guide
POS devices are approved under Locations & Devices > POS Devices, and each register's card payment setup is configured under Locations & Devices > Register Settings.
POS Devices
A device running the POS sends a registration request before it can be used. Requests and registered devices are managed on two tabs.

Locations & Devices > POS Devices
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| New devices | Incoming device requests, showing host name, machine ID, location name and register name. The Actions column holds the options for each request. Shows No incoming device requests when none are waiting |
| Registered devices | Devices that have already been registered |
Register card payment setup
Register-level settings, under Register Settings > Payments. Choose the register in Configure register, then save with Save Configuration. Settings apply only to the selected register.

Locations & Devices > Register Settings > Payments
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Card payment provider | The card payment provider the register uses, for example Adyen |
| Allow fallback to external integration | Lets the register fall back to an external card integration |
| Allow to use manual card entry mode | The customer keys their card number, expiry date and CVV on the terminal. The card does not need to be present |
| Print merchant and cardholder receipts using external printer | Prints the card payment slips on an external printer |
The other Register Settings are documented with their process:
- Credit card payments and NetSuite customer attribute (ns_requires_signature): Payments & Tenders.
- Simplified Sales Order pick-up: Sales Orders & Sales Documents.
