Discount limits are set per role, and a manager override lets a cashier go past their role's limit with manager approval. Price list and tax changes in the cart are also controlled here.
Role discount limits
Role Settings > Discounts and Taxes. Choose the role in Configure role, then save with Save Configuration.

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Maximum discount % | Largest discount percentage the role can apply |
| Maximum price increase % | Largest negative discount the role can apply. For example, at 50% the role can enter a discount between 0% and -50%, raising the row's price to at most 150% of the original |
| Modify default discounts | Replaces the five quick discount buttons at the POS with your own values. Values must be unique whole numbers between 0 and 100 |
| Allow editing cart row tax rate | Lets the role change the tax rate on a cart row |
Manager override
General settings > General > Authentication, saved with Save.

| Manager override | Lets cashiers apply higher discounts than their role allows, once a manager approves and enters their credentials |
| Manager override session duration in seconds | How long a manager override lasts, in seconds. Set 0 to ignore this value |
Price lists

| Setting | Where | What it does |

| Show price list as a discount | General settings > General > Cart | Shows the difference between the regular price and the price list price as a discount in the cart |
| Allow pricelist changes in cart | Role Settings > Products | Lets the role switch between available price lists directly from the cart |
