Flax Enterprise Configuration App · Process guide
These settings shape how cashiers build a sale in the cart: keyboard use, what the cart shows, and safeguards before checkout. They are account-level settings in General settings, saved with Save, except the maximum cart quantity, which is set per role.
Keyboard shortcuts

| Enable keyboard shortcuts | Replaces the on-screen numpad and payment options with keyboard shortcuts. The assigned keys (F2–F6 by default) open the checkout page, trigger payment actions, and open product or customer search. Enter always confirms payment as well. Use View or edit keyboard shortcuts to see or change the key assignments |
| Enable keyboard-driven quantity input on scan | Scanning an item highlights its quantity field so the cashier can type over it straight away. The Up and Down arrow keys move between line items' quantity fields |
Cart behavior

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Confirm before starting a new sale with items in cart | Shows a confirmation popup when New Sale is pressed (button or keyboard shortcut) while the cart already has scanned products, so an accidental press cannot silently clear it |
| Show cart products total count on screen and receipt | Shows the total number of items in the cart, and prints it on the receipt |
| Validate cart calculations before checkout (BETA) | Before every payment and checkout action, cart totals, taxes and discounts are recalculated and compared with the cart. If they do not match, the action is blocked and the reason is shown to the cashier. If validation blocks a flow that should be allowed, turn the setting off to restore the previous behavior immediately, and report the case to the developers |

What the cart shows

| Show prices in cart as Extended Prices | Shows the unit price and the extended price (unit price × quantity) separately in each product row |
| Cart fields | Columns shown in each cart row: Brand, Code / EAN / UPC, Price, Discount amount, Tax amount, Discount %, Tax %. Product name and Quantity are always shown |
